Chief Green was a consistent participant in the annual event held at Chinook Point, on the north shore of the Columbia River, until his death that year. He, like many cultural leaders of the Pacific Northwest, continued to maintain important cultural ties that predate contact with non-Natives on the Coast. He carried the connection to the Chinook Indian Nation from his father, and his children and partner have carried it forward since his death. The Native Nations of the Pacific Northwest acknowledge the Chinook Indian Nation.
